West Prince Sports Council was formed in 2004 to assist West Prince residents with having greater opportunities and better experiences in sport and physical activity.

• To increase leadership opportunities for parents and sport volunteers within West Prince;
• To increase quality opportunities for participation by children in sport and physical activities in West Prince;
• To enhance and support the coaching community in West Prince;
  
• To increase the awareness and benefits of sport and physical activity opportunities in West Prince;
• To facilitate co-ordination and communication in the sport and physical activity community;
• To provide opportunities for recognition in the sport and physical activity community.
• To advocate for sport and physical activity opportunities in West Prince
• To support the development of elite level athletes, coaches and officials
• To encourage the hosting of sporting events in West Prince
